A mother lost her life and her daughter sustained serious injuries during a car accident involving a sedan and a pickup truck on the morning of Friday, September 20th, on BR-365 in Patos de Minas, located in Brazil's Alto Paranaíba region. According to initial reports from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the 18-year-old daughter was driving the car when the accident occurred, leaving the two severely wounded alongside an elderly passenger from the other vehicle involved.

The accident took place around 5:50 AM, near kilometer 390, while the mother and daughter were exiting a local road close to a junction leading to Arraial dos Afonsos. It was at this intersection that their vehicle was struck by the pickup truck traveling on the highway, resulting in the fatal incident. Emergency services confirmed the mother was pronounced dead at the scene, while the daughter was trapped in the wreckage and required extrication from the vehicle.

Following the rescue operations, the young driver, who had just obtained her driver's license, was transported to the hospital in critical condition, highlighting the dangers of the roads and the importance of traffic safety.
