In a recent incident in Brunnthal, Germany, two unidentified thieves employed the ruse of pretending to be plumbers to successfully rob an elderly woman. Approaching her home around noon, the perpetrators claimed to be employees of the local waterworks. While one of them distracted the 80-plus-year-old woman, the other seized her valuable watch and cash, which totaled several tens of thousands of euros.

The thieves continued their deception by pretending to conduct a bathroom inspection after the theft, further ensuring that their victim was thoroughly misled. Descriptions provided indicate that both suspects were approximately 1.80 meters tall, stout, with short dark hair, and were dressed in dark pants and an anorak. They reportedly spoke standard German with an accent, which may assist in identifying them if anyone recognizes their description.
