The latest findings reveal a Russian influence network. "We should not underestimate the impacts," warns Boháč

An analysis of the Munich security conference suggests a lack of substantial progress in supporting Ukraine against Russian hybrid warfare, according to Vojtěch Boháč.

Vojtěch Boháč, the editor of Voxpot, expressed concerns regarding the recent Munich security conference, indicating that it did not yield significant advancements in the support for Ukraine or a clearer vision for European security. Instead, he highlighted the ongoing hybrid warfare tactics employed by Russia, which have been uncovered through his team's investigations. The team's findings trace Russian influence operations to opaque foreign structures and contacts intertwined with the Russian context.

Boháč criticized the recent speech by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio at the conference, suggesting that it failed to provide any new assurance of American support for Europe and Ukraine, despite its seemingly conciliatory tone. He noted that, unlike last year’s emotionally charged address by J.D. Vance, there was a notable shift this year towards a more subdued response from Europe, which he found puzzling given that Rubio's remarks did not differ significantly from previous statements.

The interview further highlighted a discernible increase in pressure on Kyiv, with Boháč referencing the recent commentary from Donald Trump which hinted at reduced American guarantees for security in the region. This, he suggests, could have broad implications for Ukraine’s ongoing struggle against Russian aggression, as the lack of concrete support could embolden Russian operations and complicate European security dynamics overall.
