Kantar Emor: Support for Social Democrats Grew in February

Support for the Social Democratic Party in Estonia increased in February, according to Kantar Emor's survey.

In February, the support ratings among Estonian political parties showed the Isamaa party leading with 24%, followed closely by the Centre Party at 21%. The Social Democratic Party (SDE) saw a slight increase in support to 16%, up from 14% in January. This growth helped SDE to expand its lead over EKRE and the Reform Party, who maintained steady support at 13% and 12% respectively.

The stability in Isamaa's ratings over the past months indicates a consistent base of support, though it remains slightly lower than its peak of 26% in January. Meanwhile, the Centre Party's slight dip from January reflects a small shift in voter sentiment, potentially influenced by recent political developments. The SDE's upward trend can be interpreted as a positive response from the electorate and may signal a growing relevancy in an election year.

The outlook for other parties also remains noteworthy, with EKRE holding firm, while the Reform Party has struggled to gain traction. Additionally, non-parliamentary parties are likely to cross the electoral threshold, which highlights a diverse political landscape as Estonia approaches its election season. This changing dynamic could impact future coalition formations and policy direction in Estonia.
