Isamaa and Keskerakond Increased Support Slightly in February

In February, Isamaa regained its position as the most popular party in Estonia, narrowly edging out Keskerakond in public support.

In a recent survey conducted by Turu-uuringute, two major Estonian political parties, Isamaa and Keskerakond, have shown a slight increase in public support during February. Isamaa, which previously fell behind in January, regained its lead with 22% support, while Keskerakond had 21%. Notably, they are the only parties whose ratings improved compared to the previous month, indicating a growing favor among the electorate for these two parties amidst a competitive political landscape.

The survey results revealed a decline in support for most other parties. The two parties that followed Isamaa and Keskerakond in popularity, EKRE and the Social Democratic Party, each garnered 14% of support, down from 15% the previous month. Meanwhile, the Reform Party, currently in government, saw its support dip to 12% from 14%, underscoring potential challenges the ruling party may face in maintaining its voter base as elections approach.

The survey also highlighted that the non-parliamentary party, Parempoolsed, has support at 8%, a decrease from 9% in January. Additionally, the coalition party Eesti 200 saw its support slump to just 2%, down from 3% in January and 1% in December. Overall, these findings reflect a dynamic and fluctuating political environment in Estonia, signaling uncertain prospects for several parties as they navigate public opinion ahead of upcoming elections.
