Headquarters of Tarcísio's government in the center is approved by 64% of residents of São Paulo, says Datafolha
A new headquarters for the São Paulo state government in the capital's central area has received a 64% approval rating from residents, according to a Datafolha survey commissioned by the administration of Tarcísio de Freitas.
The proposal to construct a new headquarters for the São Paulo state government in the central region of the city has found considerable favor among local residents, with 64% expressing support as per a recent Datafolha survey commissioned by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas. This approval rating is even higher among residents and commuters in central districts, where it reaches 66%. Such support indicates a generally positive sentiment towards government initiatives aimed at improving central urban infrastructure.
Despite the fact that only 32% of those surveyed reported familiarity with the project, and a mere 7% claimed to be well-informed, the perception of the project's value shifts dramatically when residents are provided with more details about its objectives. Upon receiving additional context, approval in the overall sample jumps to 79%, while those living or working near the proposed site show a 75% positivity rate. This suggests that public relations efforts could significantly influence community perception of governmental projects.
The survey was conducted by Datafolha from November 17 to 19, 2025, encompassing 1,280 residents across all city areas and 284 individuals specifically from or employed in the central zone. With a margin of error of 3 percentage points for the overall sample and 6 points for the central district respondents, these results highlight the importance of transparency and information dissemination in garnering public trust and support for governmental initiatives.
