Amrit Bharat Express from Alipurduar to Panvel will run from February 23, see route
The Amrit Bharat Express, connecting Alipurduar in West Bengal to Panvel in Maharashtra, is set to begin regular operations on February 23, following its launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Amrit Bharat Express will facilitate travel between North Eastern Bihar and Maharashtra, providing a crucial rail link for passengers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the train on January 17, and its regular service is highly anticipated to start on February 23. The express will operate from Panvel to Alipurduar, passing through significant stations such as DDU, Patliputra, and Hajipur.
Passengers are expected to benefit from the train's modern and world-class amenities, making their journeys more comfortable and efficient. The train is categorized as a non-air-conditioned premium service, featuring advanced facilities such as mobile charging ports, comfortable air spring body, and user-friendly toilets designed for differently-abled individuals. Additionally, it has enhanced safety features like fire detection systems and modern lighting to ensure passenger safety.
This development is seen as a significant boost for rail connectivity in India, especially for areas historically underserved by rail transport. The introduction of the Amrit Bharat Express is expected to encourage economic growth and improve accessibility for travelers in both the North East and Maharashtra regions, fostering greater inter-state connectivity and tourism.
