The Teletón Foundation has officially begun the construction of its 28th Children’s Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center (CRIT) in Colima, Mexico, with the first stone being laid in a ceremony attended by prominent figures from the foundation and local government. The new center is anticipated to be operational by October and aims to provide essential rehabilitation services to many children in the region. The location of the center is beside the Griselda Álvarez Park, enhancing accessibility for the local community.
In his address, Fernando Landeros, a key member of the Teletón Foundation's board, emphasized the significance of this day for Colima, attributing the project's initiation to the long-standing belief and support from local leaders. He particularly praised the commitment of Colima’s governor, Indira Vizcaino, for facilitating the project through the provision of land for the center’s construction. He shared the foundation’s heartfelt dedication, noting that they would contribute 335 million pesos to the project, underscoring the transformative impact this center will have on the community's children.
