RPF-GRP soldiers become saviors in Gonda, saving a woman's life after she slipped from a train
In Gonda, India, dedicated railway police saved a woman's life as she fell between the train and platform while boarding an express train.
A significant incident was narrowly avoided on Tuesday morning at Manikapur Railway Station in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, when a woman attempting to board the Chapra-Mathura Express fell between the train and the platform just as it was departing. Witnesses reported that while other passengers had already boarded, the woman, carrying a heavy sack on her head, lost her balance and was on the verge of a serious accident as she slipped down.
Fortunately, RPF officer Surya Prakash Mishra was quick to respond by rushing to her aid and managing to catch her just in time. GRP constable Sudhakar Khairwar also arrived promptly at the scene, and together they provided support to the woman, successfully helping her back onto the train. Their swift action and courage were instrumental in preventing what could have been a tragic outcome, highlighting the importance of vigilance and readiness among railway safety personnel.
Witnesses were relieved by the timely intervention, and the entire incident was captured on CCTV, with the footage later shared within the RPF group and subsequently circulating on social media. This episode has drawn attention to the routine risks faced by commuters and the crucial role played by security personnel in ensuring passenger safety at railway stations throughout India.
