In a significant shift for one of Munich's most visible celebrations, the Christopher Street Day (CSD) street festival will take place in Ludwigstraße instead of the traditional Marienplatz location. This change means that the main stage, information booths, and culinary offerings will now be situated between Odeonsplatz and Siegestor, areas typically reserved for large events like the New Year’s Eve celebrations, the IAA Mobility auto show, and the Zamanand Festival. Importantly, the CSD parade route, which attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees each year as a demonstration for LGBTQ+ rights, remains unchanged.
