Two minors from the Million Gang arrested, one accused of robbing the influencer grandmother
Two minors associated with the Million Gang have been arrested, one of whom is accused of a violent robbery involving a well-known influencer grandmother.
Authorities in San Isidro, Argentina, have apprehended two minors linked to the Million Gang, a criminal group notorious for committing violent robberies in the region. This operation comes more than a month after a high-profile case involving influencer grandmother Mónica Mancini, who was the victim of a robbery at her home. One of the detained minors is 17 years old, while the other is only 15, and the latter had an active arrest warrant due to prior evasion.
The 17-year-old suspect's arrest was a result of ongoing investigations into aggravated robbery incidents, particularly the robbery that occurred on January 9. During this incident, three criminals executed a violent home invasion at actress Mancini’s residence in Martínez, resulting in widespread community outrage. Notably, both detainees are part of a group that has shown resilience, as it continues to recruit new members despite measures to disrupt its operations.
The arrests underscore the ongoing challenges local law enforcement faces in tackling organized crime in suburban areas, particularly as such gangs like the Million Gang seem to continually regenerate. This cycle of crime poses significant concerns for community safety and law enforcement’s capability to protect residents, especially vulnerable targets like elderly public figures.
