The Latvian Design Awards have begun to accept applications for the winter session, which will be open until March 20th. This competition includes multiple categories such as product design, service design, communication design, environmental design, and digital solutions. The process allows works to be submitted in two separate periods, autumn and winter, thereby streamlining the application process and evaluation of the entries.

In the product design category alone, there were 22 submissions, with 11 advancing to the second round, demonstrating a strong interest and engagement within the design community. The upcoming winter session also highlights a distinct evaluation for works submitted by emerging designers, indicating a focus on nurturing new talent in the Latvian design landscape.

This initiative by the Latvian Design Awards aims to enhance the visibility of local design talents while also encouraging more participants by providing multiple submission periods.
