Man arrested for violating restraining order and carrying ammunition in Barra Mansa

In Barra Mansa, Brazil, a 30-year-old man was arrested on the night of Wednesday the 18th for violating a protective order and carrying illegal ammunition. The event occurred in the Santa Rita de CΓ‘ssia neighborhood around 7 PM, when a 42-year-old woman called the police to report her ex-partner's violation of the protective order that prohibited him from approaching her home.
Upon arrival, the police learned from the woman that she had retrieved six .38 caliber bullet cartridges that belonged to the suspect, which she handed over to the officers. The police conducted a search in the nearby area and soon located the man, who was found with three additional .38 caliber rounds. This led to his prompt arrest.
The suspect was taken to the local police station where he was formally charged with the violation of the protective order and illegal possession of ammunition. He is currently held at the disposal of the Justice system, highlighting ongoing issues related to domestic violence and firearm possession in Brazil.
