A painting with a prominent relief, which hung in the restroom of a popular restaurant on Bangų Street in Klaipėda, went missing shortly after Valentine's Day, as reported by owner Armenas Manukyan on Facebook. Upon discovering the theft, Manukyan noted that only a nail remained where the painting had once been, leading to both shock and disappointment among the restaurant's staff.

Despite the emotional value of the artwork, Manukyan chose not to involve the police in the matter, emphasizing that the loss is not about the material worth, but rather sentimental attachment. The painting, which depicted a grandmother, was particularly special to him and had previously garnered smiles and positivity from patrons in the restaurant. Manukyan mentioned that he brought several similar pieces from Armenia about twenty years ago, some of which still decorate other areas of his establishment.

As he reflected on the peculiar situation, Manukyan expressed confusion over who would steal such an item and for what purpose, questioning whether the thief intended to give it as a gift or keep it as a memento of the act. He raised a post on his Facebook account to alert others about the theft and to share his sentiments regarding the unique loss, showcasing the emotional bond between art and personal experiences within public spaces.
