Oba Kehinde Falodun, the monarch of Agamọ Community in Ondo State, Nigeria, was reportedly killed by bandits in an attack that occurred on Wednesday evening. According to sources, about ten armed assailants stormed the royal palace with the intent to kidnap the monarch. When he bravely resisted their attempts, the assailants resorted to violence, firing multiple gunshots at him. Although it was reported that the gunshots did not initially penetrate, they resorted to striking him with a heavy object, which ultimately led to his death.

The gruesome incident has drawn public attention and raised concerns about the increasing insecurity and violence in Nigeria, particularly in regions known for banditry and kidnapping. Following the attack, the Police Public Relations Officer for Ondo State, Mr. Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the monarch's death and announced that an investigation had been initiated.
