The Lithuanian National Culture Center, marking its 85th anniversary, is presenting a rejuvenated image accompanied by the motto "Culture Inspiring Strength". The event will feature open spaces for singing, dancing, music, and traditional practices, where visitors can engage with cultural and artistic presentations, explore a stand showcasing traditional Lithuanian costumes, and participate in immersive educational workshops. The center aims to foster a deeper connection with Lithuanian culture through these activities.
As part of the celebrations, the event will include video materials recalling the centenary commemoration associated with the Songs Festival, highlighting a particularly popular initiative in ethnic culture known as "All of Lithuania Dances", which demonstrates the vibrancy and connecting power of traditional dance. Visitors will have the chance to learn dance steps alongside a virtual partner using 3D glasses, blending technology with physical engagement in traditional arts.
From February 26 to March 1, the Culture Center Alley will showcase visions and initiatives from Kėdainiai, the Culture Capital of Lithuania for 2026, and the Small Culture Capitals – Agluonėnai, Kurkliai, Skriaudžiai, Semeliškės, and Tirkšliai. The Varėna Culture Center will also introduce visitors to the distinctive folk traditions of the Dzūkija region, enhancing the overall cultural experience.
