The largest cheese producer in Estonia is going bankrupt: a huge debt has accumulated

The Estonian cheese producer E-Piim Tootmine has filed for bankruptcy due to overwhelming debt exceeding 210 million euros.

E-Piim Tootmine, the operator of the E-Piim Paide cheese factory, filed for bankruptcy on February 12. The bankruptcy administrators are required to submit a report and opinion regarding the company's insolvency reasons to the Tartu County Court by March 23. According to Anti Orava, the factory's CEO, the company owes more than 100 million euros to banks, primarily arising from long-term loans taken to finance investments.
