Norway maintains leadership in the medal table of the Winter Games

Norway continues to lead the medal count at the Winter Olympics with impressive performances in skiing and snowboarding events.

On the 15th day of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Norway has reaffirmed its dominance in the medal standings. In the men's snowboard slopestyle event, Chinese athlete Yiming Su clinched the gold medal with a score of 82.41 points, narrowly edging out Japan's Taiga Hasegawa, who took silver, and American Jake Canter, who secured bronze. Norway's performances have contributed significantly to its top position in the medal table.

In the women's cross-country sprint team event, Sweden triumphed with a time of 20 minutes 29.99 seconds, while Switzerland and Germany rounded out the podium in second and third places, respectively. Brazilian skiers Bruna Moura and Eduarda Ribera finished in 21st place, marking the best performance for Brazil in this particular event, even as they missed advancing to the final round.

The men's cross-country event saw Norway take home the gold, further solidifying its leading status in the overall medal count. With these results, the gap between Norway and its competitors appears to be growing, emphasizing the country's prowess in winter sports during these Olympic Games.
