On Wednesday, a 20-year-old employee of a contractor at Guarulhos International Airport was detained by police after allegedly making a bomb threat over the phone. He called a staff member at the airport, claiming that an explosive device was located in terminal 2, specifically on a flight from Air Europa, before abruptly ending the call. This incident raised immediate concerns about security at one of Brazil's busiest airports.

Upon notification, the military police mobilized their special tactical group alongside local officers to investigate the threat. After a thorough examination, authorities identified the potential perpetrator, who later confessed that the call was intended as a joke.
