Individuals breached security in two private neighborhoods of Samborondón during the holiday
Unknown individuals broke into two private neighborhoods in Samborondón during the carnival holiday, according to police reports.
During the recent carnival holiday, security was breached in two private neighborhoods located in Samborondón, Ecuador. Police reported that in one incident, thieves successfully stole jewelry from a home, while in the other, they were unable to take any items. The first break-in occurred in a gated community situated at kilometer 1.5 of La Puntilla, where the intruders accessed the home by breaking windows from the rear side of the property.
The alarm was raised on Tuesday, February 17, when homeowners returned from their holiday getaway and discovered the theft. In the second incident, which transpired during the early hours of Wednesday, February 18, at kilometer 9 of the road to Samborondón, the thieves attempted to break in by drilling a hole at the back of the house. Their actions triggered the security sensors, which likely prevented them from completing the robbery.
These incidents highlight ongoing security concerns in urban areas of Ecuador, particularly during festive periods when many residents are away, leaving homes vulnerable to break-ins. The police are continuing their investigations to identify the suspects and enhance security measures in these neighborhoods to prevent future occurrences.
