After six vibrant days of celebration, the 2026 Mazatlán International Carnival, named 'Arriba la Tambora,' concluded successfully, drawing in a remarkable total of over 1.34 million attendees. The event significantly boosted the local economy, with a reported financial impact of more than 1.582 billion pesos and an impressive hotel occupancy rate of 88%. This level of participation highlights the carnival's importance as a key tourist attraction for both domestic and international visitors.

Mireya Sosa Osuna, the state tourism secretary, emphasized the high level of trust that attendees placed in Mazatlán, showcasing the city as a desirable destination for tourism.
