This evening, three Arab men were tragically shot dead in two separate incidents in Israel, specifically in Haifa and Lakia in the Negev region. The victims in Haifa were shot in the head at a grocery store located in the Khalisa neighborhood of the lower city. The police have reported that they suspect the motive behind both shootings may be criminal in nature. They have initiated searches to locate suspects involved in the gunfire.

The incident in Lakia involved the victim, 25-year-old Osama Abu Abid, who was also fatally shot. These recent events highlight a disturbing trend as, since the beginning of the year, a total of 55 individuals have been murdered within just the first 49 days. Out of these victims, 50 belong to the Arab community, underscoring the severity of violence faced by this population in Israel.

As authorities grapple with this wave of violence, concerns are rising regarding public safety and the increasing crime rates within Arab communities.
