NIB Ehitus Grupp OΓ: The work discussed in the 'Kuuuurija' show only concerned the facade
NIB Ehitus Grupp OΓ has clarified that the quality issues raised in a recent broadcast of 'Kuuuurija' pertained solely to facade work they conducted as subcontractors, without entering the apartments.
On a recent episode of the show 'Kuuuurija', concerns were raised regarding the quality of work performed at a residential building associated with NIB Ehitus Grupp OΓ. The company's board member, Nikolai Broberg, emphasized that the issues discussed in the show do not pertain to their work as they only handled facade renovations and did not enter the apartments or leave debris behind. He noted that the project had been passed over to the client, the Tammiku apartment association, and they were satisfied with the completed work.
Broberg suggested that the general condition of the building and potential shortcomings could be linked to other contractors or stages of the construction process. The discussion highlighted broader challenges in the region, as Broberg identified a severe shortage of labor in Ida-Virumaa, where the company is based. At present, the firm employs four workers from Ukraine amid a predominantly local workforce, and he described the difficulties of sourcing qualified labor as companies often have to look beyond Estonia's borders to find suitable employees.
Broberg's remarks reflect a growing concern within the construction industry about labor shortages, particularly in regions like Ida-Virumaa, which could affect future project timelines and quality. The emphasis on the facade work also points to the importance of clear communication between contractors and clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns about construction quality in a timely manner.
