Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh announced his intention to unveil a cabinet reshuffle aimed at filling vacancies in the government during an upcoming Cabinet meeting. He made this announcement during a speech commemorating the 12th anniversary of the February 17, 2011 revolution, which overthrew the regime of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Dbeibeh emphasized that the current political and security circumstances necessitate a reshuffling of the cabinet, as the government has been operating with a reduced number of ministers following resignations in 2022 after the parliament withdrew confidence from some ministers.
