Theon: New delivery order of night vision systems for the United States Marine Corps
Theon announces a new order for the delivery of night vision systems to the US Marine Corps under a long-term partnership.
Theon has reaffirmed its commitment to the US military by announcing a new delivery order as part of its ongoing support for the Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggles (SBNVG) program. This new order marks the fourth in a series of deliveries and ensures the provision of SBNVG systems to the US Marine Corps, with production and deliveries expected to extend through 2027.
Under this contract, formally categorized as Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), initiated in 2023, Theon, alongside its American partner, will produce semi knock-down kits and various components, which will eventually be fully assembled in the US. The total potential value of this military program is approximately $500 million, emphasizing the significant investment and importance of these night vision systems in enhancing the operational capabilities of the US Marines.
Dr. Michalis Kolotos, the Director of US Operations for Theon, expressed the company's commitment to supporting the US Marine Corps through this latest order, which continues a substantial partnership focused on delivering cutting-edge technology to meet the needs of modern warfare. This development not only highlights Theon's role as a key supplier of night vision technologies but also underscores the broader implications of defense procurement and international collaboration in military operations.
