A truck and a car collided in the Jonava district: firefighters rescued a woman

A collision between a truck and a car in the Jonava district resulted in a woman being trapped and subsequently rescued by firefighters.

On February 17th, a traffic incident was reported in Šilų township, specifically in Makštavos village, involving a MAN truck and an Opel Vectra. Emergency services were alerted at 10:23 AM to a situation where the truck was stationary in the roadway while the car had veered off into a ditch, resulting in a woman being trapped inside. Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene to assess the conditions.

Upon arrival, rescuers confirmed that the woman was conscious but unable to exit the vehicle due to her condition. Firefighters quickly worked to safely extricate her from the Opel Vectra and subsequently handed her over to medical professionals for further evaluation and treatment. The scene was cleared once the rescue operations were completed, ensuring safety for other drivers.
