CãoDulas participate in the Rio Open and draw attention to responsible adoption
CãoDulas, a team of rescued dogs, participated in the Rio Open to promote responsible pet adoption.
CãoDulas, a team comprised of rescue dogs, participated in the Rio Open this year, which has become an annual event aimed at promoting the importance of responsible adoption of pets. Among the participating dogs are Pedro Augusto, Marieta, Cristiane, and Rodolfo, each representing the hope for adoption for countless abandoned animals. The initiative, supported by GoldeN, has been ongoing since 2016 and highlights the efforts of local NGOs, such as Adote um Bichinho RJ, which cares for around 300 animals.
During the event on the 17th, two of the dogs, Pedro Augusto and Marieta, joined young tennis players Guto Miguel and Vilius Gaubas on the court to further engage the audience and promote adoption. This year's event has even garnered attention with celebrity supporters like André Marques and Daniele Suzuki, who have taken on the role of 'godparents' to the dogs, helping to amplify the message surrounding responsible pet ownership.
The Rio Open serves as a significant platform for raising awareness about the plight of rescued pets and encouraging the community to consider adopting. The presence of these animals at such a well-attended event not only entertains the audience but also has the potential to lead to increased adoptions and a greater understanding of animal welfare issues.
