Firm unveils App to boost students grades

A new app called 'Prep50' has been launched to help Nigerian students improve their examination scores in major tests like JAMB and WAEC.

Emeka Ejeziem, an education entrepreneur from Anambra, introduced an innovative exam-preparation app named 'Prep50', designed for Nigerian students aiming to excel in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), WAEC, and post-UTME assessments. Ejeziem disclosed that this app emerged from his personal experiences and observations as the operator of a private JAMB Computer-Based Test center in Onitsha. Since 2014, he has witnessed the challenges faced by students during their exams, particularly since the full adoption of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) by JAMB in 2016.

Ejeziem noted that during his time at the examination center, he observed significant distress and a lack of preparedness among many candidates. This inspired him to create a tool that not only addresses academic weaknesses but also provides strategies to manage exam-related stress. The 'Prep50' app has reportedly helped students score as high as 350 in their tests, illustrating its effectiveness in improving academic performance and consequently boosting students' confidence.

The launch of 'Prep50' highlights a growing trend among educational entrepreneurs in Nigeria seeking to leverage technology to enhance learning outcomes. As more students turn to innovative solutions for their studies, the impact of such applications could transform the educational landscape, potentially leading to better overall performance among students in competitive examinations like JAMB.
