A philanthropic organization has awarded N1 million each to 25 top-performing undergraduates from Nigeria's South-East region to support their education.
A global philanthropic organization, the De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF), has taken significant steps to alleviate educational financial constraints by providing N1 million each to 25 talented undergraduates from the South-East of Nigeria. This initiative targeted high achievers from the 2025 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board exams who have successfully secured admission into various universities.
The presentation of the cheques took place in Awka, where Chief Darlington Nwabunike, the President of DIPF, emphasized the organization's commitment to enhancing socio-economic development in the region through education and empowerment. Nwabunike detailed that the scholarship program has benefited a total of 1,012 students in the South-East, underlining the group's dedication to supporting young individuals in their educational pursuits and overall development.
DIPF's initiatives not only address immediate financial hurdles but also aim to foster long-term positive impacts on the educational landscape of the South-East. By investing in the youth's education, DIPF hopes to create a brighter future for the region, emphasizing the importance of education as a foundation for socio-economic advancement and empowerment in society.
