Murder of Father-in-law in Hardoi, Son-in-law Beats Him to Death with Stick

A 50-year-old man in Hardoi was beaten to death by his son-in-law, while the victim's sister was injured during the attack.

In Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday when a 50-year-old man was brutally murdered by his son-in-law. The victim, identified as Ashok Babu alias Pinna, was returning home from a religious visit to Hanumat Dham Ramtal temple along with his sister Alka when they were confronted near a canal in Hathoda village by the accused, Manmohan alias Mannu. During the confrontation, Mannu attacked Babu with a hockey stick, hitting him repeatedly on the head and body, leading to his immediate collapse on the scene, while Alka sustained injuries in the process.

Following the attack, local police were informed, and Babu was rushed to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Farrukhabad, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctors. The motive behind the murder remains unclear at this point. Alok Raj Narayan, the Circle Officer of Shahabad, confirmed that a case has been registered in connection with the incident. This act of violence has shocked the local community, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic death, underlining the need for addressing domestic disputes before they escalate to such extreme outcomes.
