Lucknow: Son-in-law brutally killed, stabbed in stomach and chest
A son-in-law was brutally murdered by his father-in-law and brothers-in-law in Lucknow, who first assaulted him and then stabbed him in the stomach and chest.
In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old man named Ramsagar was brutally murdered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, during a visit to his in-laws. The assailants, consisting of his father-in-law and brothers-in-law, lured him under the pretext of giving him a farewell, during which they attacked him. After severely beating him, they plunged a knife into his stomach and chest, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. His brother, who accompanied him, also sustained injuries during the attack.
The incident took place in the Kakori police station area, specifically in Lalatakaheda village, late at night on February 16. Ramsagar, originally from Madhautanda in Pilibhit district, had married Kamini from Lalatakaheda village two years prior in a love marriage, which had faced consistent opposition from her family. According to Ramsagar’s brother, Rahul Gautam, the couple had initially eloped and married at a temple in Pilibhit before later formalizing their marriage in court, after which they had been living together in Pilibhit.
The tension between Ramsagar and his in-laws had evidently escalated since their marriage. After a while, Kamini's family came to Pilibhit claiming they would perform the wedding rituals as per their customs, which might have led to the tragic confrontation. In response to the incident, the police have detained four named suspects and initiated an investigation, sending the body for post-mortem examination to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this gruesome murder.
