Two individuals have been charged with animal cruelty in Litoměřice, Czechia, after allegedly torturing a cat and filming the act.

The police in Litoměřice, Czechia, have arrested two individuals for animal cruelty after they were caught torturing a cat and recording the event. According to police spokesperson Pavla Kofrová, one of the accused is an adult, while the other is a minor. If found guilty, the adult faces a maximum of three years in prison, while the juvenile could face up to 1.5 years, reflecting the lighter penalties applicable to minors under Czech law.

The gruesome incident involved placing the cat in a dryer, after which the recorded video showed a dog nibbling at the unconscious animal's body. The shocking footage has circulated, notably after being reported by CNN Prima News, which also published the video itself. The police have confirmed that they possess the audiovisual materials documenting the cruelty.

A family member of one of the accused took custody of the dog featured in the footage shortly after the events unfolded.
