Alvaro Augusto Dias Junior, a teacher, has raised serious concerns regarding the aggressive tactics employed by the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) in Mogi das Cruzes. According to his accounts, on Saturday, he witnessed guards using batons, pepper spray, and even threats with firearms against individuals gathered in Largo Bom Jesus after municipal officials shut down a nearby nightclub, causing patrons to spill into the square. Junior described the incident as both violent and unjustified, highlighting that the guards spoke in an intimidating manner and seized documents from the visitors without apparent reason.

The confrontation reportedly began around 2 AM, following the closure of a nightclub on Rua Barão de Jaceguai by municipal inspectors, who failed to provide clear reasons for their action. This led to a significant gathering of patrons in the public space, which some, including Junior, viewed as an intimidation tactic used by the guards.
