Estonian freestyle skiers prepared for the Olympics in Livigno, with Henry Sildaru making his Olympic debut in the park event and more competitors set to follow.

Estonian freestyle skiers, including Henry Sildaru, Kelly Sildaru, and Grete-Mia Meentalo, have been training in snowy Livigno as they prepare for the upcoming Olympic events. Henry made his Olympic debut in the Milano Cortina park qualification, finishing in 21st place after two unsuccessful attempts. However, he continued on to the Big Air qualification where, despite a rocky start, he managed to secure a 22nd place finish after a successful third jump.

Notably, Henry Sildaru is set to become the first male freestyle skier to compete in all three disciplines at the Olympics, with his participation in the rail event qualification scheduled for Thursday. His sister Kelly and fellow competitor Grete-Mia Meentalo, who is making her Olympic debut, are also gearing up for their events, with both expected to compete in the rail event later that evening.

Four years ago, at the Beijing Olympics, Kelly Sildaru won a bronze medal in the park and finished fourth in the rail event, underscoring the potential for both siblings and Meentalo to make a significant impact in the upcoming games. The training session in Livigno is crucial for their preparations as they aim for success in the highly competitive freestyle skiing events.
