Tomáš Taraba, the Minister of the Environment in Slovakia, has sent a letter to the city of Vysoké Tatry suggesting the state should buy the central parking lot at Štrbské Pleso through the Tatra National Park Administration. The proposal arises from concerns about the parking lot's deteriorating condition, which could lead to its closure. However, during the recent city council meeting on February 12, the members did not address Taraba's suggestion as they await further information from the minister.
