In a tragic incident on the GO-060 highway in Nazário, Goiás, two amateur football players lost their lives in a car accident while returning from a celebration. The players, João Luiz Silva Aby Azar, 24, and Bruno Pereira do Vale, 27, were close childhood friends of the survivor, Victor Oliveira, 27, who expressed his shock and sorrow over the loss of his longstanding friends. All three were members of the Atlético Montebelense team and were returning home from a party held in Anicuns.
