Football players who died in an accident on the GO-060 were returning from a party, says surviving friend

Two local football players died in a car accident in Goiás while returning from a party, with one survivor recounting their close friendship.

The players, João Luiz Silva Aby Azar, 24, and Bruno Pereira do Vale, 27, were close childhood friends of the survivor, Victor Oliveira, 27, who expressed his shock and sorrow over the loss of his longstanding friends. All three were members of the Atlético Montebelense team and were returning home from a party held in Anicuns.

Victor Oliveira shared his painful experience, revealing that he was left with minor injuries but lost not only his teammates but also companions he had known for most of his life. Along with another friend who survived the crash but is not a player, they were heading back to São Luís de Montes Belos at the time of the accident. Victor was taken to the Regional Hospital of São Luís de Montes Belos for treatment of his minor injuries, while his other friend is in stable condition at the Governador Otávio Lage de Siqueira Emergency Hospital, illustrating the grave outcomes of the crash.
