A Moldovan citizen was arrested at a train station in Puławy for stopping a train carrying oil, with officials discovering suspicious documents in Russian during the incident.

On February 16, a Moldovan national, aged 25, was apprehended at a railway station in Puławy after he activated the emergency brake on a freight train traveling from Szczecin to Dorohusk. The individual was found between train cars at the time of his arrest. Law enforcement officers were conducting an operation called TOR and collaborated with a soldier from the Territorial Defense Forces and an officer from the Railway Protection Service during the incident.

Upon searching the arrested individual, authorities discovered his bag contained multiple electronic devices, cell phones, SIM cards, a power bank, and documents written in Russian. Given the sensitive nature of the situation, the incident prompted the involvement of several state agencies, including the National Prosecutor's Office, Military Counterintelligence Service, Internal Security Agency, and the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police. Furthermore, police from the Lublin Voivodeship were also dispatched to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The arrest raises potential concerns regarding security and possible connections to broader geopolitical tensions, particularly given the documents in the Russian language. The authorities are investigating the motivations behind the man's actions and whether they pose any threats to national security. The ongoing situation highlights the vigilance of Polish authorities in monitoring railway security amid rising tensions in the region.
