During the initial three nights of Carnival 2026, police in Acre reported the apprehension of 15 individuals in the capital, Rio Branco, and surrounding communities. The Military Police of Acre (PM-AC) shared this information, indicating a generally peaceful atmosphere despite the arrests. The events took place from Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15, with a total of 11 incidents logged during that period.

The categories of offenses leading to the detentions included threats, public intoxication, theft, bodily injury, illegal possession of knives, drug possession and trafficking, and disturbances. The police assessed the situation as manageable, suggesting that their operational plans for the celebrations were effective in maintaining order amid the festivities.

In light of the Carnival celebrations, enhanced security measures were initiated by various agencies, including the Acre Military Firefighters and the State Department of Traffic. These reinforced efforts, coupled with the presence of police, aimed to provide safety for the participants and to ensure a comprehensive response to any incidents that might arise during the Carnival period.
