Girl trapped in an online job scheme, pushed into gang rape and prostitution

A 20-year-old woman from Delhi has accused a gang in Lucknow of luring her with a fake job offer and forcing her into prostitution after sexual assault.

In a shocking case emerging from Lucknow, a 20-year-old woman from Daryaganj, New Delhi, has reported being lured into a trap disguised as a job opportunity. In 2021, she met a man named Kamru Jamal, also known as Javed, from Kishanganj, Bihar, who promised her a lucrative job. After calling her to Lucknow, she was taken to a café in Gomtinagar, where she was drugged and raped. The perpetrators recorded the incident and later used the footage to blackmail her into silence.

Subsequently, the victim was trafficked to a spa center where she endured further abuse. Multiple individuals, including Zafar Hayat Idrisi and Kamru Hayat Idrisi, were reported to have gang-raped her, and each assault was recorded for blackmail purposes. Fearing for her safety, she was coerced into prostitution in Lucknow and other districts, including Faizabad, where she was compelled to engage in sexual acts with various men, all while the culprits profited from the activities. When she protested against this treatment, she faced violence and threats from her captors.

This case highlights not only the dangers associated with online job scams but also the broader issue of human trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable individuals in India. As urban areas deal with increasing reports of similar crimes, there is a growing need for awareness and protective measures to shield potential victims from such predatory practices.
