New 24-hour strong bad weather – When it starts, how it will affect Attica
Greece is set to experience a day of severe weather, including rain, showers, and local storms across various regions, particularly in Attica.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, is expected to be characterized as an 'express' day of bad weather across all of Greece, with unstable conditions bringing rain, showers, and local storms to the Ionian, mainland, and Aegean regions. Although this adverse weather system is only predicted to last for one day, it will significantly affect the weather patterns across Greece, especially in popular areas such as the Ionian Islands and on the mainland.
On the mainland, the unstable weather is anticipated to cover regions from the Peloponnese to Thrace, as well as the Ionian Islands and most areas of the Aegean. Temperatures are expected to range from 12 to 14 degrees Celsius in the northern mainland, 14 to 17 degrees in the central and southern areas, and up to 19 degrees in the island regions of the Aegean. The impact of this weather system will be further amplified by very strong winds, which are expected to reach 8 to 9 Beaufort in local areas, particularly in the southern Aegean.
Residents are advised to prepare for potential disruptions due to the severe weather, as the expected thunderstorms and heavy rains could impact daily activities and transportation. However, conditions are forecasted to improve starting Wednesday, with a return to more stable and pleasant weather in the days following the transient express weather event, offering some relief after the stormy conditions of tomorrow.
