Blast after a severe fire in a factory in Faridabad, 35 people injured

A devastating fire followed by a blast in a factory in Faridabad resulted in injuries to around 35 individuals, including emergency responders.

On Monday, a massive fire broke out at a factory located in Sector 24 of Faridabad, Haryana, which was followed by a significant explosion. The incident has left approximately 35 people injured, among whom three are police officers and two firefighters who were caught in the blaze while trying to carry out rescue operations. The fire escalated quickly, resulting in chaos within the factory premises and affecting bystanders in the vicinity as well.

Following the outbreak of the fire and the subsequent explosion, several fire department vehicles rushed to the scene to combat the raging flames. Despite the initial chaos, the fire was eventually brought under control after extensive efforts by the firefighting teams. In the aftermath, victims were promptly transported to local hospitals, including Civil Hospital and Fortis Hospital, with medical teams closely monitoring their conditions.

The intensity of the explosion was so severe that it destroyed 8 to 10 vehicles parked outside the factory. Authorities have since initiated an investigation into the causes of both the fire and the explosion, as the affected factory belongs to the Kalka Ji Lubricant Company. As of now, the fire has been extinguished completely, ensuring that no further hazard remains on the site.
