Tens of thousands of users worldwide affected by another outage of the social network X
Tens of thousands of users around the world reported an outage of the social network X, which is owned by Elon Musk.
On Monday, tens of thousands of users worldwide experienced an outage of the social network X, with Downdetector reporting 42,449 incidents in the United States and 11,388 in the United Kingdom. In the Czech Republic, 431 users reported issues. However, the actual number of affected users could be considerably higher, as the website aggregates reports from multiple sources on service status.
This latest outage follows a similar occurrence earlier in February, when over 19,000 users in the United States reported disruptions that lasted about 45 minutes. The frequency of these outages raises questions regarding the platform's reliability and stability, especially following Elon Musk's acquisition and the integration of new AI features developed by his startup, xAI, which operates X Corp, the parent company of X.
Musk's startup, xAI, is also developing the chatbot Grok, which has been incorporated into the X platform. These developments suggest a focus on enhancing user engagement through AI, yet the recurring technical issues pose a significant challenge that could affect user trust and the platform's overall reputation.
