The arrest occurred on Sunday, September 15, when police responded to reports of gunfire at the Terras de São Bento II Condominium. Upon arrival, police discovered that the suspect had allegedly shot his neighbor in the left heel after an argument concerning noise disturbances. The neighbor received medical attention for his injury.
Investigators found perforations in the windows of two vehicles parked in the garage as well as damage to the walls and doors of the suspect's residence, clearly indicating the violence of the confrontation. The individual involved was licensed as a Hunter, Shooter, and Collector (CAC), which adds complexity to the case as it raises questions about the responsible ownership and use of firearms. Upon an investigation of the property, law enforcement seized four firearms along with ammunition from the businessman’s residence.
