With the Help of CSI, GCM Recovers Stolen Car and Cell Phone

In São José dos Campos, municipal guards recovered a stolen car and cell phone, and arrested two suspects with the assistance of local security cameras.

In a successful operation in São José dos Campos, the municipal guard (GCM) recovered a stolen vehicle and a cell phone thanks to the advanced monitoring capabilities of the city's Security and Intelligence Center (CSI). On Tuesday, following a report from the Military Police Operations Center (Copom) regarding a robbery in the neighboring city of Taubaté, the CSI was able to track the vehicle used by the suspects in real-time using their intelligent radar systems.

As the suspects, armed with guns, had abandoned the stolen car, the CSI coordinated with patrolling guards by broadcasting the vehicle's details. The effective use of integrated surveillance and swift police response culminated in the apprehension of the suspects, who had relocated to the Jardim São José neighborhood in the eastern region of São José dos Campos. In addition to recovering the stolen phone and car, law enforcement also seized a handgun from the suspects.

This incident highlights the increasing role of technology in urban security measures and the importance of cooperation between different law enforcement agencies. The use of high-tech surveillance provided critical support in ensuring public safety and successfully apprehending criminals in a timely manner, contributing to community trust in local law enforcement efforts.
