A signal from a stolen cell phone assisted the Military Police in discovering a house in Ipatinga containing multiple stolen goods. This investigation began after the victim of a theft reported that their stolen cell phone had emitted a location signal through a tracking app about a month after the incident. The police acted on the shared location, leading them to a residence in the Esperança neighborhood.
On the night of the operation, officers approached the designated area indicated by the tracking app and noticed a man fleeing from a nearby alley upon seeing the police vehicle.
