The Artdocfest/Riga is celebrating the legacy of Hercs Franks, a respected Latvian documentary filmmaker known for his work 'Older than 10 Minutes.' This year, the festival introduces a special award named after him, aimed at acknowledging excellence in documentary filmmaking within the Baltic region. During the event, a unique collage of film excerpts from Franks' body of work will also be showcased, emphasizing the continuity of the human life journey from birth to death and spiritual rebirth, aligning with the philosophical underpinnings of Franks' films.

Renowned violinist Gidon Kremer will lead an ensemble performance with the chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica and pianist Andrejs Osokins.
