Tamanna Malik, a woman from Sambhal, completed a pilgrimage from Haridwar wearing a burqa and performed a ritual offering with her Hindu husband, garnering both support and criticism for breaking religious barriers.
Tamanna Malik, a resident of Badanpur Basai village in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, has gained media attention for her unique pilgrimage on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. Accompanied by her Hindu husband, Aman Tyagi, Tamanna visited Haridwar to collect holy water from the Ganges and perform a ritual offering at a Shiva temple. This journey of 170 kilometers, which began on February 10, was a fulfillment of a vow Tamanna made three and a half years ago when she overcame obstacles to marry Aman, breaking traditional religious boundaries. The couple, who have two sons, Aryan and Daksh, proudly participated in the rituals, chanting 'Har-Har Mahadev.'
