Carnival concerts in Guayaquil change venue and date after alarm fire
The Municipality of Guayaquil has rescheduled carnival concerts due to a recent fire alarm incident in the city.
The Municipality of Guayaquil announced the suspension of a carnival concert originally scheduled for Sunday at the Malecón and República due to an Alarm 3 fire that broke out nearby. This incident marks the third significant fire in Guayaquil in less than a week, raising concerns about safety in the area.
In light of the circumstances, the concert has been moved to the following day, now taking place at the Samanes park's acoustic shell instead, while the performance initially planned for the subsequent Monday will also shift to Tuesday at the same venue. Despite the change in location and date, the concert timings will remain unchanged, scheduled from 5 PM to midnight.
The lineup for this year's carnival festivities includes popular artists such as Matcha and Daddy, Guayacán Orquesta, and Héctor Jaramillo. The celebration will continue on Tuesday with performances from Rubén el Rey and others, ensuring that the community can still partake in the planned events despite the recent disruptions caused by the fires.
