On February 15, a brutal attack took place in Puerto Bolívar, Machala, Ecuador, where armed assailants executed four men using a vehicle camouflaged to resemble a police patrol. The incident occurred at around 12:20 PM in the 4 de Abril neighborhood, shocking local residents who reported that the attackers were dressed in outfits mimicking police uniforms. This alarming strategy of disguising themselves allowed them to infiltrate the neighborhood easily and execute their deadly plan.

The victims, identified as Miguel Ángel Rivas Loor and Ramón Antonio Cedeño Pallaroso, both aged 40, were part of a larger group that came under fire. Witnesses at the scene described the attackers' methodical approach as they exited the vehicle and opened fire on the unsuspecting individuals. Four men suffered serious injuries and were taken to different healthcare facilities in Machala, where all were later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, a fifth victim survived the assault and is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
