Jordan has officially reinstated its mandatory military service, known as "National Service," at the beginning of this month after a suspension that lasted 35 years. This initiative aims to bolster the preparedness of the armed forces and develop their capabilities to align with contemporary warfare strategies. Reports from recruits, as shared by Hassan Al-Shoubki, the Al Jazeera bureau chief in Jordan, indicate that the military training has taught them patience, endurance, respect for peers, as well as skills in infantry tactics and shooting.
